Saxe Kitchen is the casual dining counterpart to Melbourne’s acclaimed fine-dining restaurant, Saxe. The challenge was to create a distinct identity that felt more approachable and relaxed while retaining the recognition and equity of the parent brand.
The design built on the existing Saxe identity by layering bold “Kitchen” typography over the original wordmark and introducing stamp-inspired graphic elements. This flexible system allowed for easy in-house customisation while maintaining a consistent presence across signage, print and digital applications.
The result was a friendly and adaptable brand identity that successfully differentiated the casual dining experience while preserving the quality and reputation associated with the Saxe name.
